Dissolved oxygen meter, model HI-8043
HI-8043 is a versatile D.O. meter developed for use in the school laboratory. A common 9 volt battery supplies the unit with up to 100 hours of continuous power making it truly portable. There is also a low battery warning that helps eliminate the possibility of taking erroneous reading due to low power. The simplicity of this machine is its greatest asset. Simply select the O2 mode and the polargraphic probe will supply you with accurate dissolved oxygen measurements in mg/l. The STB mode is particularly useful to keep the current flowing through the probe which is continuously polarised and ready for use. Switch the dial to °C and turn the °C trimmer to compensate for any temperature variances. The probe has a conic shape making it perfect for use in BOD5 applications.
