Sterilin introduced the first disposable plastic universal container nearly 40 years agoand then went on to develop the most comprehensive range of sample containers for the clinical market.
All Sterilin containers are aseptically manufactured from cytotoxicity tested FDA approved virgin polystyrene.
The complete range extends from 7ml to 250ml with on most sizesa choice of either plastic or metal flow seal cap all of which are leak tested to the British Standard 5213.
A unique flow seal cap ensures excellent sample containment when using the Sterilin 30ml universal container.
Suitable for urine collection and preservation the Sterilin 7ml bijou is filled with 0.095g of boric acid and the 20ml universal is filled with 0.38g of boric acid.
Other specialist Sterilin containers include a 30ml universal with built in spoon for faecal sampling and a 7ml 'Trac' bottle containing a glass coverslip for Chlamydia culture.
A 250ml polypropylene container with a metal flow seal cap is an ideal container when a whole urine sample is required.
The Sterilin container range also includes a thin walled disposable non-sterile glass universal.
Labelling options include unlabelled printed (clinical) or plain label.
All Sterilin containers are intended for in vitro use only.
