Water Still Merit W4000. An economically prices water still designed for safe operation, minimum maintenance and easy cleaning. Produces up to 4l/hour of quality distillate, which complies with the European Pharmacopoeia for purified water. Incorporates a horizontal borosilicate glass boiler and high efficiency coil condenser to ensure a cool distilate. Plumbing connections to the condenser are via plastic screwthread connectors to allow hose to be fitted or removed quickly and safely. The 3kW chromium plated heater is fitted with a thermal cut-out to protect the still in the event of water failure. A robust metal stand allows the still to be either wall or bench mounted. The still is exceptionally easy to clean without hazardous dismantling. Cleaning agents can be added to the boiler through a built-in funnel and a stopcock is provided for drainage. BSEN 61010.
